MCP

Learn how to use the shadcn/ui MCP(Model Context Protocol) with ReStrictUI.

MCP is an open protocol that standardizes how applications provide context to LLMs.

Configure MCP

Run the following command to configure the mcp server:

pnpm dlx shadcn@latest mcp init

Select your MCP client as prompted, then enable the MCP server in your client to finish setup.

You can now ask your IDE to use any ReStrictUI component. Here are some prompt examples:

Add Statistic Card block from ReStrictUI registry.
Add Base UI Autocomplete Component ReStrictUI registry.
Add Base UI Phone Input n Component ReStrictUI registry.
Build me a User Management CRUD using Data Grid and Forms from ReStrictUI registry.
