Setup Inter Font(Next.js)

Add the following code to your root layout file (app/layout.tsx or src/app/layout.tsx):

import { Inter } from 'next/font/google';
import { cn } from '@/utils/cn';

const inter = Inter({ subsets: ['latin'] });

export default function RootLayout({ children }) {
  return (
    <html>
      <body className={cn('text-base antialiased', inter.className)}>{children}</body>
    </html>
  );
}

Setup System Fonts

Add the following code to your style entry file globals.css:

@theme {
  --font-sans:
    'Geist', 'Geist Fallback', ui-sans-serif, system-ui, sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji',
    'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';
  --font-mono: ui-monospace, SFMono-Regular, Menlo, Monaco, Consolas, 'Liberation Mono', 'Courier New', monospace;
}

For a modern and visually appealing design, we recommend using Inter as the default font in your ReStrictUI project.

Add Lucide Icon Library

npm i lucide

Add Remix Icon Library(optional)

npm i @remixicon/react

Setup Base UI Portals

Base UI uses portals for components that render popups, such as Dialog and Popover. To make portalled components always appear on top of the entire page, add the isolate Tailwind class to your application layout root:

<div className="isolate"></div>

Add Components

Explore the ReStrictUI Components and add the ones you need into your project.
